Prayer Force 1
1st Birthday Celebrations at Campion College, Toongabbie
What a wonderful day we had and we were certainly blessed with great, warm weather as well!
Our day commenced with a celebration Mass in the Campion College Chapel which was presided by Father Paul. Two of our youth group members played the guitar, and others participated in readings. Some of the Campion students participated by playing the organ and leading the singing. After Mass we went out onto the grounds and had lots of fun together on the jumping castle, playing ball, water slides and water bombs.
We even managed to water bomb Father Paul!

| We then split up into groups to begin our scavenger hunt! |
| This involved looking for clues, answering questionsand finding our way around the large grounds of Campion. We looked for chickens, funny looking trees, rock beds and statues. We counted doors, shutters and ducks and water tanks. |
The lucky winners (see photo on left) then had to find items on a hand drawn map, drawn by our Youth Group Leader, Jeff and then find the buried treasure!
The girls found all the items on the map and then proceeded to find where the treasure was buried, but everyone in Prayer Force 1 decided to help them out!
Finally, the treasure was found and there were lots of happy children, counting their riches!
After all the hard work in finding the buried treasure, we went back onto the decking and munched on some tasty party snacks and cooled down with some drinks. We then had lots of fun playing some party games together with lots of yummy prizes like chocolates and lollies!
We then went into the Lecture Theatre and watched a presentation of our first year of youth group. We laughed at photos of ourselves and watched all the activities we have enjoyed together over the past year!
Time for dinner after all that partying and we were treated to a sausage sizzle cooked by some of our parent helpers on the day.
After dinner we sang “Happy Birthday to Prayer Force 1” and enjoyed a delicious birthday cake dessert. Yum!
We would like to express our thanks to all the parent helpers, Father Paul,Mrs Cheryl Brown and the Campion staff and students that helped out on the day.Grateful thanks is extended to Campion College for allowing us to use theirwonderful facilities to celebrate our first year of Prayer Force 1.
